Although I'm aware that the site is just less than a week old, I'm wondering why a handful of people have stopped by the forum, read the posts, then left without commenting.  I'm sure everyone won't agree with what I have to say or with my opinions, but I really have to believe that other people have an opinion too.  I just wonder why no one is sharing.

I for one am deeply disturbed by all that is transpiring in America, and the World today.  I feel urgency in talking, and educating myself and others as to the corrupt and one sided policies of our government and what I can do to see that we get ourselves back on the right track as a country.

I'm not sure what happened or when it even started to go wrong.  The majority of people it seems want to point the finger at Bush and his administration, but seriously, I feel it all started way before he ever took office.  I mean seriously I don't think Osama decided to attack us because he didn't like the fact that Bush got voted in as President of the USA.  I guess that's all sort of irrelevant anyways.

So far I am not at all impressed with Mr. Obama.  All I've seen is him attempting to undo everything that Bush did.  It seems as though he is trying to reverse time and go back to pre-Bush times.  He has virtually re-enlisted the entire Clinton administration, and acted to put an end to all of Bush's policies.  I just wonder how this is really supposed to be a viable solution.

Anyways, I truly am wondering what is on your mind...

I agree with you.  I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt but I had feelings of dread.  Usually bad things happen when you have one party in control of everything.  Common sense tells you that if you tax the rich more, the people who create jobs in the first place, then they will go someplace else.  Why pay over 35% in Federal tax here when you could go somewhere else and pay 25%???  I know the argument is that there would be other costs of doing business in that country but still I believe that would still be less then the 35% in Federal taxes.  The whole stimulus package that was passed, not the right thing to many earmarks not enough meat.  I am just hoping that besides the financial mess that Obama and Congress have dug us further into that they also do not get us attacked either.

Love this site, it will now be bookmarked on my favorites!

I can not possibly blame this on any one person but on the Washington Government for the past 2 decades. Ever since Ronald Ragan left office there has been a group of pencil headed brief case carriers with greed in their eyes running the show.
It should not be allowed for these senators and Representatives to gain financially for outside work. I understood that at one time it was not proper for the thousands of dollars they obtain through honorariums while in office. I am a total believer in two terms for senator and 4 for Representatives. (No reruns) I also believe once we lost the Veterans in Congress we lost a lot. A large percentage of those there were or are millionaires. They as a majority have no idea what the common man goes through to raise his family and keep a roof over their head. I am so disgusted in the taking care of the poor attitude. I am 71 years old and the same group of people have dominated the poor as long as i can remember We have instituted every poss able means of helping the poor and they are still there. Why? Because we picked them up and put them on a fairly easy street and now they want everything i have worked for. I did not own a home till I was 38 years old. I then bought a house I could afford. I did get some help from the GI Bill but I did not buy more than I could stand.I could rant all day but I think that Pres. Obama has raised to the top to fast, Lacks the experience needed to do the job, and is incapable to obtain the right staff to get things moving. Can you imagine the number of fumbles he has had in selecting a cabinet!! Hell that in itself is a good example of his inability to lead.
Folks we are in trouble. Start putting a little green money away, Put some dried beans in the closet, and stand by you havn't seen anything yet.

Rob!

Had to respond to your question on why people would look and not respond.  Personally--I got really confused because I for some reason thought that the "views" column meant "posts" and then kept looking for the 65 posts that were allegedly on this thread.... yeah, guess I need to spend more time on mbs?  Oh well.  That's my personal reason.

On the other side, though: my facebook is pretty controversial in the same way your site is controversial, and some people just get bitter.  I cannot tell you what hate comments I've been left.  It's been pretty vile.  It's lame that people aren't commenting as much as they should here, but at least you're probably avoiding the worst of it!
